# Quickstart

> Tell Continual about your business, sign in with Google, and read Continual's first reply.

You need a Google account and a few minutes. You end with your own organization and a thread where
Continual is already at work.

## Set up your business

<Steps>
  <Step title="Choose where you start">
    Open Continual and choose **Get started**. Choose **Grow my business** or **Start a business**.
  </Step>
  <Step title="Describe the business">
    To grow a business, enter your website, such as `yourcompany.com`. Continual suggests a
    **Business name** from it, which you can change. No website yet? Choose **Tell us what you do**,
    then describe what you sell and who buys it, and enter the business's name.

    To start a business, describe your idea in a sentence or two. The **Business name** is optional.

    Then choose **Continue**.

  </Step>
  <Step title="Continue with Google">
    On **One last step.**, choose **Continue with Google** and sign in. By continuing, you agree to
    the Terms and Privacy Policy.
  </Step>
  <Step title="Wait while Continual sets up your organization">
    You see **Setting up** and your business's name. Continual creates your organization, makes you
    its administrator, installs its apps, and opens your thread. If something stops it, you see why, with
    the name in a form. Fix the problem and choose **Continue**.
  </Step>
  <Step title="Read Continual's first reply">
    Your answers become your first message to Continual, such as "Help me grow my business. Our
    website is https://yourcompany.com; learn what we sell and who we sell to. Show me where to
    start." Continual starts work on it in your thread.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Callout type="note" title="Your colleagues can join">
  If you sign in with a Google Workspace account, your new organization also
  claims your company's domain. Colleagues who sign in with that domain can then
  find and join it. To change this, see [members](/docs/concepts/members).
</Callout>

## Sign in to an organization that exists

If you already have an account, choose **Sign in** and then **Continue with Google**. Continual
lists the organizations you can open:

- **Your organizations** lists the ones you belong to. Choose one to open it.
- **Open to** your domain lists organizations that anyone at your company's domain can join. Choose
  **Join**.
- **Create a new organization** asks for an **Organization name**, then **Create organization**.

If someone invited your email address, you join their organization when you sign in with that
Google account.

## Try these next

Write in **Message Continual** at the bottom of your thread and press <Kbd>↵</Kbd>. Press <Kbd>/</Kbd>
to jump to the box. Some things to ask:

- "Show me our open deals."
- "Draft a follow-up to every quote nobody answered this week."
- "What should I do first today?"

When Continual opens a record or a list, it shows beside your thread. When it needs a decision, it
offers choices you pick with one key. Before a change the business is bound by, such as issuing an
invoice, it asks you to **Approve** or **Decline**. See [approvals and policies](/docs/concepts/approvals).

When Continual needs you to act, it gives you a to-do. The count on **To-dos**, in the message box,
says how many wait. Switch to **To-dos** and open one to work on it. See
[work through your to-dos](/docs/guides/work-your-to-dos).
