# GitHub issues

> Issues synced from your GitHub repositories, open or closed.

A GitHub issue record is an issue from one of your synced
[repositories](/docs/apps/projects/github-repositories), kept in sync with GitHub.

## How it works

The sync sets an issue's title, body, number, link, and status, **Open** or **Closed**. You change
issues in GitHub. In Continual, you link an issue to the
[pull requests](/docs/apps/projects/github-pull-requests) that address it, from the pull request.
